Shy Girl Comic ^_^

Mon Jun 30, 2008, 2:43 PM
No pencil. No reference. No script. No excuses.

Just plain - ol' - fun. :D

That's what I wanted when I started working on the Shy Girl comic. I had never drawn an entire issue this way before, and it was a total blast. This is honestly the most fun I've had drawing comics in a while. It felt refreshing... more pure in a way too. The task of translating a script can become tiring, especially if it takes between 10 and 12 hours to pencil a page ('cause that's what it takes, y'all. Be ye not deceived). I wanted to do something to bring the fun back... and indeed I did. I hope that you enjyed reading it as much as I enjoyed making it. :D Perhaps there will be more Shy Girl comics in the future... ^_^

You can check out the full comic here --> [link]

Now, back to studies and 'actual' comic pages. Ha! Much love, y'all. :cuddle:

Through every drawing there is a lesson to be learned, through every stroke you learn to see your own world clearer. ~Quote from me.

~Thanks for helping me think of this statement pookena!

I thought it was pretty good,
(obviously) very rough, but good.
Excellent pace and panel layout, the story was neither rushed nor slow... and your scenes and panel-flow was very easy to follow and read through.
I think because everything was so rough, even the way you disobeyed certain comic "standards" was very natural and catered to a smooth and fun read.

Good stuff mayne, ;)

Rule of thumb, if you're good at something... Never do it for free...
I thought the comic was very cute, and I read each page with anticipation to see what would happen next to our Birthday-Suited Heroine. I hope you get a chance to continue this little project! :D
